Gary Stephen Hall, a native of Westerly, Rhode Island, has been an avid photographer since childhood. After acquiring his first professional camera at the age of 22, Gary began photographing automobiles, landscapes, and the events surrounding his life. Gradually, Gary moved up to photographing church events, and eventually, his fathers second wedding, and the weddings of his friends. At about the age of 35, Gary joined the Professional Photographers of RI, (PPARI) and moved up to Medium Format cameras. He began shooting weddings and family portraits. Taking the name, "The Halls of Photography", He worked with his wife for many years. As time moved on, He began to fill in as a backup photographer at Electric Boat in Groton Ct, providing Industrial, Portrait and Commercial Photography.

Gary has been awarded several Ribbon Awards for work entered at the PPARI, and has also been published in several magazines, including most recently, the Naval publication, "The Preceedings", for a picture taken at dusk at EB of the NR-1 Submarine, dockside with her underwater lights on. Some of Gary's latest commercial shoots include, The Hampton Inn of Groton, Ct, and The Hilton, of Mystic. Gary has been back in Westerly for 5 years now, at his studio, at 82 High St, Suite 22, across from Wilcox Park. The Halls of Photography boasts a 2 photographer shoot at every event, allowing us to capture more of the emotion and excitement, and providing back-up so that not one part of your special event is missed. Gary is known to be easy to work with, and very adaptable and I believe you will find him a valuable asset to your special event.
